“Ever since I was a child I've always wanted to make. I remember keeping everything from scraps of fabric and industrial letter stamps to jam jars of rusty nails. Growing up in a family with little money, car boot sales, skip dives and auctions were the norm and something I grew to love in my early twenties. After travelling through the education system, holding a tight grasp on my creativity, I went on to study for a degree in Textile Design at Nottingham Trent University, graduating with a 1st class honours and having learnt a lot about myself, design and what sharing a flat with three boys is like. My work developed in an unusual way during my time there, resulting in a final collection of interior surfaces, created using sustainable materials such as wood, concrete and recycled acrylic. 

After graduating, I met Billy while living on a narrowboat and we began to create furniture and homewares with reclaimed timber from the tiny pontoon Billy’s boat was moored on. As commissions continued to roll in we took our first workshop and began our journey in providing a bespoke design service to the retail, commercial and domestic interior industry. We worked with clients across the UK on a personal level to achieve their creative vision, providing bespoke furniture, homewares and displays. With a love of sourcing from vintage (and the inability to throw anything away), we started our hire collection, catering to festivals weddings, events and parties. 

In April 2019 we published our first book Pallet Style. Working with the team at Kyle Books Publishers we designed, created and wrote 20 creative projects made entirely from reclaimed materials. Our book has now been translated into three different languages and made its way over to America.”
